Felicitation Ceremony Held at Raj Bhavan to Honour Armed Forces and NCC Cadets

  Agartala, 25 April 2025: A grand felicitation ceremony was held today at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan, Agartala, in honour of the Indian Army, the 28th Battalion of Assam Rifles stationed in Tripura, and NCC units from the North East Region. The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the divine lamp by the Hon’ble Governor of Tripura, Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, who also served as the Chief Guest for the occasion. The Governor felicitated the 28th Battalion of Assam Rifles for their exceptional dedication and service. The presence of Indian Army personnel added to the solemnity of the event, and their commitment to the nation was warmly appreciated. NCC scouts were also recognised on stage for their spirited involvement in discipline and national service. The ceremony served as a gesture of deep respect and gratitude towards those who serve the country with honour and pride.

Tripura Olympic Association Conducts Extra Ordinary General Meeting, Four Key Resolutions Adopted

  Agartala, 25 April 2025: The Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) of the Tripura Olympic Association (TOA) was successfully held today at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Yuba Awas, Khejurbagan, under the supervision of the Indian Olympic Association’s (IOA) Tripura Adhoc Committee. Representatives from various state-level sports associations participated in the meeting, alongside two official observers from the Tripura Sports Council and the Department of Youth Affairs & Sports. Following detailed discussions, four major resolutions were unanimously adopted: Recognition of TOA as the Apex Sports Body : The TOA was reaffirmed as the apex sports organisation in Tripura, recognised by the Tripura Sports Council and the Youth Affairs Department. The association was registered on 4th January 1982 under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 (Reg. No. SR: 967). CM Manik Saha Attends Blood Donation Camp on Deed Writers' Association’s 70th Anniversary

  Agartala, 25th April 2025: To mark their 70th Foundation Day, the Deed Writers' Association organised a blood donation camp at the Court Complex near Fire Brigade Chowmuhani in Agartala. Hon’ble Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha attended the event as the Chief Guest and officially inaugurated the camp. He appreciated the initiative and encouraged everyone to take part in voluntary blood donation to help save lives. Many donors and members of the public joined the event. The Association thanked the Chief Minister for his support and inspiring presence.
