Agartala, April 6 – The Agartala Press Club witnessed a vibrant democratic exercise on Sunday as journalists cast their votes to elect a new Managing Committee for the 2025-2027 term. The elections, held after the Annual General Meeting, saw a high voter turnout and competitive contests for key positions.   Pranab Sarkar, a seasoned journalist and social activist, secured the presidency after a closely fought three-way race against Jayanta Bhattacharjee and Arun Nath.
