Agartala Press Club Elects New Leadership for 2025-2027 Term

Agartala, April 6 – The Agartala Press Club witnessed a vibrant democratic exercise on Sunday as journalists cast their votes to elect a new Managing Committee for the 2025-2027 term. The elections, held after the Annual General Meeting, saw a high voter turnout and competitive contests for key positions.   Pranab Sarkar, a seasoned journalist and social activist, secured the presidency after a closely fought three-way race against Jayanta Bhattacharjee and Arun Nath. His victory marks a shift in leadership while retaining continuity in the club’s vision.   Incumbent Secretary Ramakanta Dey successfully defended his position, defeating challenger Biswendu Bhattacharjee by a comfortable margin. Massive Joining Programme Marks BJP Foundation Day in Town Bardowali Mandal
