  Agartala, April 4, 2025: Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha today reaffirmed the state government's commitment to preserving the traditions and cultural heritage of Tripura’s indigenous communities. He announced that ₹14 crore has been sanctioned for the beautification and further development of the Brahmakunda Mela premises. The Chief Minister made this announcement while inaugurating the Brahmakunda Mela at Simna in Mohanpur Sub-Division under the West Tripura district. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Saha highlighted the deep cultural significance of the fair, stating, “Brahmakunda Mela is an age-old tradition, held twice a year, where people perform religious rites in remembrance of their ancestors.
