Agartala, March 20: A large number of small vendors have been struggling to secure stalls for the Chaitra Mela in Agartala, leading to protests near the Chief Minister’s residence. Despite waiting in long queues since last night, many vendors failed to get space due to the limited distribution of stalls. Reports suggest that for the past two days, vendors have been making continuous efforts to obtain a stall, but the high demand has left many without any allocation. Frustrated by the situation, several vendors gathered outside the Chief Minister’s residence, hoping for intervention. Later, East Agartala police arrived at the scene and convinced the protesters to leave, advising them to meet the Mayor regarding their concerns.
