Tripura Celebrates International Women’s Day 2025 with Grand Event

Agartala, 13th  March: The International Women’s Day 2025 celebrations in Tripura concluded today with a grand event at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan, organised by the Department of Social Welfare and Social Education, Government of Tripura. The 13-day-long celebration, which began on 1st March, featured a series of programmes aimed at promoting women's empowerment, gender equality, and social awareness.   Honourable Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and inaugurator of the event. Other notable attendees included Tripura Women’s Commission Chairperson Smt. State Cabinet Approves Recruitment for Vacant Posts and New Positions

Agartala: In almost every meeting of the state cabinet, decisions are made to fill vacant posts or create new positions in various departments to address unemployment in the state. Tuesday’s cabinet meeting was no exception. The decisions taken during the cabinet meeting were announced by Minister Sushanta Chowdhury during a press conference on Wednesday. Addressing the media at the Civil Secretariat in the afternoon, the Tourism Minister revealed that 118 Computer Science PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) positions will be filled for 125 Vidya Jyoti schools across the state. He stated that the cabinet has approved these recruitments to ensure proper computer education for students, and the hiring process will be conducted swiftly through the Tripura Rural Bank (TRB). Minister Chowdhury also shared that the cabinet has approved filling 35 vacant posts of Senior Store Guards under the Food Department.
