Agartala, March 11, 2025: An awareness workshop on the implementation of various projects was organized by the Department of Social Welfare and Social Education on Tuesday. The West District-based workshop took place at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala. The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp and watering of a plant on the stage after Minister Tinku Roy and other dignitaries were welcomed with due respect. Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy inaugurated the workshop. The event was attended by Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Deepak Majumdar, West Tripura Zilla Parishad Vice-President Biswajit Shil, and other officials.   Kailashahar, March 11, 2025: Kailashahar police station officers have arrested two youths in possession of brown sugar during a significant operation. Based on information from a confidential source, police conducted a raid at a checkpoint in the Chinibagan area late at night. The arrested individuals were presented before the Kailashahar court on Wednesday afternoon. Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sukanta Sen Chowdhury of Kailashahar police station reported that police positioned themselves at a checkpoint in the Chinibagan area after receiving a tip from a secret informant. At around 2 AM, two youths were approaching on a motorcycle. When police stopped them for inspection, they discovered brown sugar neatly hidden inside five soap boxes.
