Tripura to Celebrate International Women’s Day with Grand Events

Agartala, 7th March: The Government of Tripura is set to celebrate International Women’s Day 2025 with great enthusiasm, focusing on women’s empowerment, education, healthcare, and leadership. Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat today, Minister of Social Welfare Sri Tinku Roy highlighted the government’s efforts in uplifting women and ensuring their active participation in all sectors. As part of the celebrations, two rallies will be organised on 8th March —one starting from Umakanta at 6:00 AM and another from Rabindra Bhaban at 7:30 AM . Additionally, a special women’s match will take place at Umakanta Stadium at 3:00 PM to mark the occasion. DYAS Triumphs in Friendly Tennis Cricket Match Against Tripura Sports Journalists

Agartala, March 7, 2024: A friendly Tennis Cricket match was organised today at Bhagat Singh Mini Stadium between the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports (DYAS) and the Tripura Sports Journalist Association. The match, aimed at fostering camaraderie and sportsmanship, witnessed an exciting contest. Winning the toss, the Sports Journalist Association opted to field first.
