Bangladesh Assistant High Commission Observes International Mother Language Day in Tripura

    Agartala, February 21: On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Tripura paid tribute to the language martyrs by hoisting the national flag of Bangladesh at half-mast and offering floral wreaths at the Shaheed Minar (Martyrs' Memorial). Tripura to Host 73rd BN Mallick Memorial All India Police Football Championship

Agartala, February 21: For the first time, Tripura is set to host the prestigious 73rd BN Mallick Memorial All India Police Football Championship, featuring both men’s and women’s categories. The tournament will commence on February 24 and conclude on March 7, spanning 12 days. A press conference was held at the Police Headquarters Conference Hall at 6 PM today, where Tripura Police Director General Amitabh Ranjan briefed the media about the preparations and details of the event. DG Ranjan stated that all preparations are in the final stages, and the state team is rigorously practicing to deliver a strong performance. He expressed confidence that the Tripura team would achieve good results in the championship. Awareness Camp on PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana Held in Agartala

Agartala, February 21: An awareness and registration camp for the Prime Minister’s Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana was organized on Wednesday at the Agartala Municipal Corporation headquarters. The event, held in collaboration with the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited and the Tripura Urban Livelihood Mission, was inaugurated by Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and MLA Deepak Majumder. Corporators Ratna Dutta, Nibas Das, Nitu Guha De, and others were also present. Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 13, 2024, the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana aims to achieve 500 gigawatts of solar power generation by 2030. So far, 200 gigawatts of solar power generation has been achieved nationwide.
