Agartala: The renovation work of MB Tilla Market in the capital city Agartala is progressing at a swift pace. On Wednesday, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing renovation work at the market. During the Mayor's inspection, he was accompanied by Municipal Commissioner Shailesh Kumar Yadav, Ward No. 39 Corporator Alok Roy, and other dignitaries. During the inspection, Mayor Dipak Majumder informed journalists that the first phase of the market construction, being built at a cost of 1 crore 75 lakh rupees, is expected to be completed by April this year. The Mayor further explained, "This market construction was supposed to be completed earlier. However, the contractor who was initially assigned the responsibility failed to complete the work within the stipulated time.
