A joint operation conducted by officials from the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) led to the discovery and seizure of counterfeit textbooks from two bookstores in Agartala, Tripura. The raid, carried out on Thursday, targeted establishments in Orient Chowmuhani and Joynagar areas following persistent complaints of illegal book trading in the region. The investigation team, comprising representatives from NCERT's Delhi headquarters and Guwahati Regional Centre, acted on intelligence received at the Delhi office regarding the distribution of unauthorized textbooks.
