Tripura made history on January 28, 2025, becoming the first northeastern state to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Digital India Bhashini Division (DIBD) for implementing multilingual governance. The landmark agreement was signed during a state-level workshop, "BhashiniRajyam", at Pragna Bhavan, Agartala, under the guidance of Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha. The signing ceremony was inaugurated by Tripura's IT Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, with key officials in attendance including Kiran Gitte, Secretary IT, Government of Tripura; Amitabh Nag, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), DIBD, MeitY; and JeyaRagulGeshan B., Director IT, Tripura.
