Vani Vidyapith Girls H.S. School Observes Earth Day with Tree Plantation Drive

Agartala, 22 April 2025:
In celebration of World Earth Day, the Guides troop of Vani Vidyapith Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Agartala, organised a meaningful tree plantation drive within the school premises. The initiative was led by Smt Sima Majumder, the dedicated Guide Captain of the school, with active support from fellow teachers and students.

The event aimed to raise awareness among students about environmental protection and the importance of trees in combating climate change. As part of the programme, saplings of various fruit-bearing and indigenous trees were planted in different corners of the school campus. The activity not only beautified the surroundings but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards nature among the young participants.

Speaking on the occasion, Smt Majumder encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly habits and take part in environmental initiatives beyond the school. Teachers echoed the sentiment, emphasising the need to care for the saplings and protect green spaces in urban settings.

The school’s Earth Day celebration reflected a deep commitment to sustainability and environmental education. Such efforts help nurture a generation that is more conscious of their ecological footprint and motivated to preserve the planet for the future.
