The Odia community in Tripura celebrated Utkal Divas with great enthusiasm and fervor today. The event, held at Ravindra Satabarshiki Bhavan Hall No- II, was graced by the presence of Hon'ble Governor Shri Indra Sena Reddy Nallu.
The Governor was warmly received with a floral bouquet and lit a divine lamp to mark the beginning of the program. The event showcased a plethora of cultural performances by the Odia community residing in Tripura, highlighting their rich heritage and traditions.
Utkal Divas commemorates the formation of Odisha as a separate province on April 1, 1936. The day is celebrated to foster a spirit of unity among the people of Odisha and to promote its unique culture and heritage ¹ ².
