Today on 3rd Aprl 2025, Agartala In a significant boost to Tripura's sports ecosystem, Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha inaugurated three cutting-edge synthetic sports facilities at the Dasarath Dev State Sports Complex in Badharghat today. The newly launched facilities include the Debabhakti Jamatia Synthetic Athletics Track, the Swadesh Priya Nandi Astro Turf Synthetic Hockey Ground, and the Pratul Bhattacharya Astro Turf Synthetic Football Ground.
These modern sports infrastructure projects are poised to revolutionize the state's sports landscape, providing athletes with international-standard training opportunities and enhancing their competitive skills. The event was attended by esteemed guests, including Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Shri Tinku Roy.
In his address, Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha emphasized the significance of these modern sports facilities in catapulting Tripura's athletes to the national stage. The state government has also launched a special sports insurance scheme to ensure the well-being and safety of its athletes.
