Tripura Government Committed to Timely Implementation of Agartala Smart City Projects

Agartala, 24 April 2025:
The State Government of Tripura remains firmly committed to the timely implementation of various development projects under the Smart City Mission in Agartala. Most of these initiatives have already progressed towards their final stages, with a strong emphasis on maintaining quality and sustainability.

To assess the pace of progress and ensure effective execution, a high-level visit was conducted today to the Agartala Smart City Limited office located within the Urban Development (UD) Building. The visit aimed to review ongoing infrastructure works, smart mobility systems, and urban development efforts under the Smart City framework.

In addition to this, the visiting team also inspected the Office of the Water Board, which is tasked with ensuring the regular and uninterrupted supply of drinking water across the capital city. Ensuring water availability is a critical component of urban planning and citizen well-being under the Smart City initiative.

During the visit, detailed discussions were held with officials from both departments. Concerns regarding timelines, execution quality, and public service delivery were addressed. The officials were also given necessary instructions to maintain momentum and resolve any bottlenecks that may hinder the completion of the projects.

This proactive monitoring reflects the government's focus on enhancing urban infrastructure, improving public utility services, and delivering a smarter and more liveable city for the residents of Agartala.
