Agartala, April 6: In a significant political development on the occasion of BJP’s Foundation Day, a large-scale joining programme was held near Nagerjala Motorstand under Town Bardowali Mandal. A total of 283 families comprising 857 individuals officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), embracing the party’s vision and leadership.
Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha graced the event and extended a warm welcome to the new members. The joining event saw enthusiastic participation from people across various communities, including a significant number from minority groups. The Chief Minister emphasised that this wave of support reflects growing public trust in the BJP’s development-centric governance in Tripura.
“Today, on this historic Foundation Day, your decision to join the BJP strengthens our resolve to work harder for the people of Tripura,” said Dr. Saha, addressing the gathering.
Party leaders and workers also attended in large numbers, celebrating the BJP’s expanding base in the state. With colourful flags, loud chants, and patriotic spirit, the event turned into a festive political rally, showcasing unity and growing grassroots support for the ruling party. The joining marks a notable boost for the BJP in the region ahead of upcoming political events.
