Protesters held placards opposing any move to allow U.S. companies open market access to sell meat, fish, and dairy products in India. They warned such decisions could severely impact Indian farmers and local producers. The CPI-M accused the U.S. of pushing aggressive trade policies and demanded protection for India’s agricultural self-reliance and food sovereignty.
