11 March 2024: Kailas Shahar : The prestigious Tripura Handloom Expo 2024-25 was formally inaugurated today at the ITI Complex ground in Kailashahar. Organized by the Department of Handloom, Handicrafts & Sericulture, Government of Tripura, with financial backing from the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, the event commenced with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony performed by Minister for Social Welfare and Sports, Shri Tinku Roy.
The exhibition serves as a vital platform for showcasing Tripura's rich cultural heritage in handloom, handicrafts, and sericulture.
