Tripura Chief Minister Highlights State’s Development on His Government’s Second Anniversary

 



Agartala, March 08: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha emphasized that the development of Tripura is incomplete without the progress of all sections of society. Speaking at the celebration of the state government’s second anniversary at Rabindra Satabarsiki Bhavan, Dr. Saha credited the people, karyakartas, and officials for their cooperation in achieving milestones. He also acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and the Act East Policy for driving development in the Northeast.



Dr. Saha highlighted significant improvements in Tripura’s GDP, infrastructure, law and order, and per capita income. He stated that the state’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) has risen, reflecting progress across sectors like education, economy, and communication. The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to inclusive development, aligning with the vision of “Vikshit Bharat.”


The state government has implemented several flagship schemes, including the Proti Ghore Susashan initiative, benefiting 23 lakh people, and the Amaar Sarkar portal, which has received praise from PM Modi. Dr. Saha also emphasized women’s welfare, citing initiatives like Pink Toilets, 33% reservation in government jobs, and women-run police stations.



Additionally, the government has increased social allowances from ₹700 to ₹2,000 and generated over 16,000 jobs since 2018-19. With ₹1,400 crore from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for tribal area development, the government aims to ensure holistic progress for all sections of society.
