Agartala, Mar 09: BJP National President and Union Health Minister JP Nadda addressed a massive rally at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala on Sunday, marking the second anniversary of the second BJP government in Tripura. In his speech, Nadda highlighted the transformative political culture in India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, emphasizing that the BJP’s consistent performance has replaced anti-incumbency sentiments with pro-incumbency attitudes. He noted that the party’s electoral victories, from 17 crore votes in 2014 to nearly 24 crore votes in 2024, reflect the trust people have placed in the BJP.
Nadda underscored the party’s electoral successes across states like Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Tripura, attributing these wins to the BJP’s commitment to public service rather than political ambition. He referred to PM Modi as a ‘Pradhan Sevak’ (Prime Servant) and stressed that the BJP’s focus is on serving the people, particularly the marginalized sections of society.
During the rally, Nadda announced two new initiatives for the empowerment of girls in Tripura: the Mukhyamantri Balika Samriddhi Yojana (MBSJ), which offers a bond of Rs 50,000 for every girl child born in a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family, maturing to Rs 10 lakh at the age of 18, and the Mukhyamantri Kanya Atmanirbhar Yojana (MKAY), which provides scooties to 140 meritorious girl students from Tripura Madhyamik Shiksha Parshad and CBSE/ICSE boards.
Nadda lauded the BJP-led government’s achievements in Tripura, including a 30% reduction in crime rates, the processing of 29 lakh e-files for digital efficiency, and a five-fold increase in tax devolution from the Centre. He also highlighted the success of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, which has benefited 24 lakh people in the state.
Praising Chief Minister Manik Saha, Nadda commended the state’s development in education, health, agriculture, communication systems, and internet services. He also highlighted the promotion of organic farming and the government’s efforts to build a drug-free Tripura.
Nadda unveiled a booklet showcasing the BJP government’s public welfare initiatives over the past two years and expressed gratitude to the people of Tripura for their continued trust and support.
