Madhubaner Madhu’ Brand Launched in Dharmanagar to Boost Agro-Based Industries

 





Agartala, March 11: In a significant step towards promoting agro-based industries, Minister Ratanlal Nath inaugurated the ‘Madhubaner Madhu’ brand at the Haflongchhara Agriculture Office premises under Dharmanagar Subdivision on March 10. The initiative marks the collaborative effort of 32 enterprising youth and housewives, supported by the Agriculture Department, to establish a new brand aimed at fostering self-reliance and economic growth in the region.

The event was attended by Yuvrajnagar Block BDO Debapriya Das, former MLA Molina Debnath, officials from the Agriculture Department, and other dignitaries. The launch was widely applauded, with attendees expressing optimism about the future prospects of the entrepreneurs and their contribution to the local economy.

In his address, Minister Ratanlal Nath emphasized the government’s commitment to empowering individuals and promoting self-reliance. He praised the efforts of the 32 entrepreneurs who worked tirelessly to develop the ‘Madhubaner Madhu’ brand. The Minister also highlighted the challenges faced by the agricultural sector in North Tripura, particularly the decline in paddy cultivation despite rising food demand. He stressed the need for effective utilization of agricultural land and announced the provision of modern equipment, such as power tillers, for farmers who have yet to receive such tools.

Minister Nath paid tribute to the hardworking farmers of the region and announced plans to establish a permanent sales center in Dharmanagar city to support the marketing of ‘Madhubaner Madhu’ products. He underscored the enduring demand for honey and encouraged farmers to diversify their crops to further strengthen the agricultural sector.

The launch of ‘Madhubaner Madhu’ is seen as a promising initiative to boost agro-based industries in North Tripura. It is expected to create employment opportunities, empower local entrepreneurs, and contribute to the region’s economic development. The event concluded with a renewed commitment to supporting farmers and promoting sustainable agricultural practices in the state.
