Friendly Football Match Celebrates Women’s Day

 


Agartala, March 8: A spirited friendly football match was organized between the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports (DYAS) and the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) to mark International Women’s Day. The match, featuring women’s football teams, was held to celebrate the strength, talent, and empowerment of women. The event commenced with great enthusiasm, attended by Youth Affairs Director Sri Satya Brata Nath, Joint Director Paimung Mof, Joint Secretary of Tripura Sports School Board, Agartala, and TRLM Director, along with other dignitaries.

The match was highly competitive, with both teams displaying exceptional skill and sportsmanship. The DYAS team dominated the game, securing a convincing victory with a score of 3-0, while the TRLM team, despite their efforts, could not score. The event not only highlighted the growing interest and participation of women in sports but also served as a platform to inspire and encourage more women to take up sports as a means of empowerment.

Following the match, a prize distribution ceremony was held to honor the winning team and recognize the efforts of all participants. The DYAS team was awarded for their outstanding performance. The event concluded on a high note, emphasizing the importance of women’s participation in sports and their role in fostering a more inclusive and progressive society.
