DYAS Triumphs in Friendly Tennis Cricket Match Against Tripura Sports Journalists




Agartala, March 7, 2024: A friendly Tennis Cricket match was organised today at Bhagat Singh Mini Stadium between the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports (DYAS) and the Tripura Sports Journalist Association. The match, aimed at fostering camaraderie and sportsmanship, witnessed an exciting contest.

Winning the toss, the Sports Journalist Association opted to field first. DYAS delivered a strong performance, securing a commanding victory by 81 runs. The winning team was awarded a trophy along with a cash prize of ₹20,000, while the runners-up received ₹10,000 in recognition of their spirited efforts.

The event was graced by Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Sri Tinku Roy as the chief guest, along with Director of DYAS Sri SB Nath (TCS), Joint Director Paimung Mog, and other dignitaries. Their presence added to the prestige of the occasion.

The match concluded on a high note, with officials congratulating both teams for their enthusiastic participation. The event underscored the role of sports in promoting unity, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle among professionals and youth alike.
