Agartala, March 20: The BJP Kalyanpur Janajati Morcha organized a significant event today at the Bairagi Para School grounds in Rajni Sardar Para ADC Village, Kalyanpur, to honor 37 tribal martyrs who sacrificed their lives to militant forces between 1982 and 2003. The gathering, attended by prominent BJP leaders and Janajati Morcha representatives, underscored the party’s commitment to development and its vision for Tripura’s future.
MDC Bidyut Debbarma, the keynote speaker, delivered a powerful address, emphasizing the transformative impact of the BJP’s development initiatives under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He highlighted that while Tipra Motha and BJP initially faced challenges, their focus on progress has won widespread support. Debbarma firmly stated that only the United Nations holds the authority to grant Greater Tipraland, dismissing other claims.
Criticizing the Left and Congress, Debbarma asserted that socialism has no future in Tripura and vowed to erase the history of Congress and Communists from the state. He pointed out that while previous regimes failed to reach many areas, the BJP has successfully extended its reach across the state, addressing critical issues like drinking water shortages, irrigation challenges, and electricity problems during the dry season.
Debbarma praised the BJP government for its relentless efforts in advancing development and ensuring free and fair democratic elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha. He concluded by stating that Congress and Communists now lack substantial issues to criticize, as the BJP’s work speaks for itself.
The event was attended by Block Chairman Somen Gop, Kalyanpur Mandal President Nitai Bol, Khowai District BJP President Binoy Debbarma, and other leaders, who echoed Debbarma’s sentiments. MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury was notably absent due to being out of state. The gathering served as a testament to the BJP’s growing influence and its dedication to honoring Tripura’s tribal heritage while driving progress.
