Agartala, February 20: The Tripura Pradesh Congress Seva Dal organized a state conference at Rajarshi Hall in Udaipur, attended by prominent leaders including Lalji Desai, Sudip Roy Barman, and Ashish Kumar Saha. The event commenced with the hoisting of the Seva Dal flag, followed by a procession and the traditional lighting of the lamp to inaugurate the conference.
During the conference, MLA Sudip Roy Barman launched a scathing critique of the Narendra Modi-led BJP government. He accused the BJP of relying solely on the support of business tycoons like Adani and Ambani for its survival. Barman also alleged that the BJP was manipulating the electoral process and falsely claiming a people’s mandate.
Barman highlighted the achievements of the former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s government, particularly the implementation of key laws related to education, health, food security, and the Right to Information. He further criticized the Modi government for its inaction on critical issues, such as China’s occupation of 4,000 square kilometers of Indian land and its silence on incidents like the alleged chaining of Indian citizens by American forces.
Barman also condemned the BJP’s ideology, warning that it could weaken the nation and fuel internal conflicts. He expressed concerns over the destruction of religious institutions and the rise of communal violence under BJP rule, asserting that the party neither respects the Constitution nor the founding leaders of India.
