Tripura Connects with Its Global Diaspora on Non-Resident Tripuraites Day

The Good Governance Department of Tripura organized the inaugural Non-Resident Tripuraites Day, marking a significant initiative to strengthen bonds with the state's diaspora. The event, hosted at the department's conference hall, utilized video conferencing technology to connect with Tripuraites living outside the state.

Chief Minister's Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Parmananda Sarkar Banerjee and Good Governance Department CEO Kiran Gitte led the proceedings, which focused on recognizing the achievements and contributions of non-resident Tripuraites across various fields. The virtual format enabled wide participation, allowing successful professionals and entrepreneurs from different parts of India and abroad to share their experiences and insights.

The celebration served multiple strategic objectives. First, it created a formal platform for dialogue between the state government and its non-resident population. Second, it acknowledged the accomplishments of Tripuraites who have established themselves in different parts of the world. Third, it aimed to leverage the expertise and resources of successful non-resident Tripuraites for the state's development.

During the interactive sessions, participants discussed potential collaborative initiatives between non-resident Tripuraites and the state government. The focus remained on identifying areas where the diaspora's expertise could contribute to Tripura's growth across sectors such as education, technology, and economic development.

The Good Governance Department's initiative reflects a broader trend among Indian states to engage with their diaspora populations actively. By institutionalizing this celebration, Tripura has taken a concrete step toward maintaining sustainable connections with its global community and creating channels for knowledge and resource sharing.

The event concluded with commitments from both government officials and non-resident participants to maintain regular communication and explore specific projects that could benefit from diaspora involvement in Tripura's development journey.
