Tripura marked the 76th Republic Day with a grand celebration at Assam Rifles Ground, Agartala. Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu hoisted the national flag and inspected the ceremonial parade, highlighting the state's commitment to national unity and pride.
The event featured impressive contingents from various security and youth organizations, including BSF, CRPF, Assam Rifles, Police departments, NCC, NSS, and school units. Distinguished guests including Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, and Leader of Opposition Jiten Chowdhury attended the ceremony.
A highlight of the event was the Governor's recognition of police officers' outstanding service through medal and shield presentations. Drill competition winners were also felicitated, acknowledging their exceptional performances.
The celebration showcased remarkable performances, including women police bikers' daring stunts and jawans' impressive acrobatic displays. A vibrant cultural programme followed, featuring the traditional Mamita dance, youth performances highlighting cycling and judo skills, and colorful student displays. In his address, the Governor emphasized the state's developmental progress and praised the parade participants' discipline. The event beautifully captured the spirit of national pride, unity, and democratic values, leaving the audience inspired and emotionally connected to the nation's constitutional ideals.
