Blood Donation Camp Marks Milestone Celebration of Seva O Sahaya Parishad

 


A significant blood donation camp was organized at Rabindra Centenary Hall to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Seva O Sahaya Parishad. The event, held on Sunday, witnessed the participation of several distinguished guests, including Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Tinku Roy, Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister Sudhanshu Das, and Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder.


The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness, setting a meaningful tone for the day's proceedings. The event highlighted the organization's decade-long commitment to community service and social welfare.


Minister Tinku Roy took a personal interest in the proceedings, engaging directly with blood donors and recognizing their contributions. In a touching gesture of appreciation, he personally pinned badges on the donors' vests, acknowledging their selfless service to society. During his address, Roy emphasized the critical importance of blood donation in saving lives and strengthening community bonds. He noted that regular organization of such donation camps with a humanitarian approach could effectively address blood shortage issues in healthcare facilities.


The Minister's interactive approach and words of encouragement resonated with the participants, reinforcing the significance of voluntary blood donation. His presence, along with other dignitaries, underscored the government's support for such humanitarian initiatives.
