Agartala, 21st November 2024: GB Bazaar, a bustling hub for traders and shoppers since its inception, has long lacked a basic yet essential facility – a public toilet. This absence caused significant inconvenience for both buyers and sellers over the years. However, this long-standing issue has finally been addressed under the leadership of Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Deepak Majumder, who has been proactively working to modernise and upgrade the city’s markets. As part of a comprehensive plan to transform GB Bazaar into a modern marketplace, efforts are underway to widen the adjoining roads and enhance infrastructure. Today, Mayor Deepak Majumder inaugurated a newly constructed community toilet in the market area, fulfilling a long-standing demand of the traders and the community.
