DRUG SMUGGLING BUST: WOMAN AND AUTO DRIVER ARRESTED NEAR BADHARGHAT RAILWAY STATION







In a significant crackdown on illicit drug trafficking, Amtali Police successfully apprehended a woman and an auto driver near the Badharghat railway station, intercepting a potential drug smuggling operation.


The joint operation, conducted by a vigilant police team, resulted in the arrest of the two suspects after a meticulous search revealed concealed Phensedyl bottles. A female constable's thorough inspection uncovered the contraband carefully hidden in the woman's inner jacket and bag, demonstrating the strategic approach of the smuggling attempt.


The auto driver, who was actively involved in the transportation of the illegal substances, was simultaneously detained. The vehicle used in the operation, registered with the number TR 01 G 2577, was immediately seized as part of the investigation.


Authorities have registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, signaling the serious nature of the offense. The police are currently conducting an extensive investigation to unravel the broader network potentially involved in this drug smuggling operation.


This successful interception highlights the Amtali Police's commitment to combating drug trafficking and maintaining public safety. The precise and professional manner of the arrest underscores the law enforcement agency's effectiveness in identifying and neutralizing illegal drug distribution channels.
