Tripura commemorated the 62nd Civil Defence and Home Guard Day with a grand parade that paid homage to the dedicated personnel who have been pivotal in maintaining public safety and providing critical emergency services since the organization's establishment in 1962.
The impressive ceremony, held at the Manaranjan Debbarma Memorial Police Parade Ground in AD Nagar, began with Social Welfare Minister Santana Chakma hoisting the flag, symbolizing the pride and patriotism of the civil defence and home guard units. Following the flag hoisting, she personally presented a Guard of Honour, highlighting the government's deep respect for these essential services.
