Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha has announced the commencement of work by Tripura Power Generation Limited (TPGL) for the installation of 30-megawatt small hydropower plants in different locations within the state during a workshop on "Energy Transition of Tripura" held at Hotel Polo Tower. Dr. Saha emphasized the global importance of renewable energy in maintaining a clean environment and conserving resources for future generations. He highlighted India's commitment to promoting renewable energy, citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent emphasis on it at the G20 summit. Dr. Saha also mentioned the state's infrastructure development efforts, with a focus on establishing renewable energy centers.
