Tripura Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath is taking proactive steps to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the upcoming festivals in the state. On October 5, he is scheduled to hold a crucial meeting with Union Power Minister Raj Kumar Singh in New Delhi. This meeting signifies the commitment to addressing the power supply challenges and coordinating efforts between the state and central governments. Minister Nath emphasized the cultural and religious significance of festivals like Durga Puja, Lakshmi Puja, and Kali Puja in Tripura. These festivals are celebrated with great fervor by people of all faiths, making reliable power supply essential to the smooth conduct of festivities. The minister noted the increasing power demands during previous years' festivals. In 2021, the peak power demand reached 327 megawatts, and in 2022, it surged to 332 megawatts during the festivities.
