Minister Ratan Lal Nath's Strong Warning Against Construction Extortion Mafias in Mohanpur

 Agartala 23. 09.2023 : In a resolute address at a program following the inauguration of two vital road construction projects in Mohanpur, Agriculture and Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath issued a stern warning to mafia elements operating across the state. He cautioned against their illicit activities, which involve extorting money from government-contracted construction projects, and emphasized that such actions would no longer be tolerated. The first road, spanning over ten kilometers, will commence near the Mohanpur SDM office and extend through Gazaria to Chhechuria, while the second road will cover another ten kilometers, connecting Mohanpur Market to Abhicharan Market via the Jigaria and Dime Mara regions. These projects fall under the 'Bharat Nirman' and Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana schemes, aiming to enhance infrastructure in the region. Speaking at a public gathering during the inauguration of two crucial road projects in Mohonpur, he emphasized the government's commitment to closely monitoring and addressing such incidents. The newly inaugurated roads hold immense significance for the area's development. The first, spanning ten kilometers, commences near the SDM office and extends to Chechuria via Gajaria. The second, also covering ten kilometers, starts at Mohonpur Market and reaches Abhicharan Bazar via Gigaria and Dainmara. Minister Nath highlighted the substantial benefits these roads would bring to the local populace and appealed to residents to support the contractors in expeditiously completing the projects.
