 A 3-day StateLevel School Swimming Competition organized by the West District School Sports Board was inaugurated on Wednesday. Swimmers from 9 units including 8 districts and Epura Sports School participated in 3 categories under 14, 17, and 19 years. A total of 145 Swimmers participated. This swimming competition was organized at Raima Swimming Pool in Bandharghat. In This personalities like program MLA Meenarani Sarkar,  8. Town Bordowali Mandal President Mr. Sanjoy Saha, were present. 

 As part of the 'Amar Mati Amar Desh' program on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, soil will be collected from every house in different booths and mandals across the state on Tuesday and Wednesday and will be  sent to Delhi. This soil will be taken to the Amrit Batika being built in Delhi. As a part of that today, mayor Deepak Majumdar area MLA Meena Rani Sarkar, Corporator Bapi Das Corporator Anjana Das collected holy soil from house to house. Mayor said, this soil is being collected from every house irrespective of caste, caste, religion. This effort is aimed at realizing Modiji's determination to build one Bharat Shrestha Bharat.
