 A tree plantation festival was held at Arundhatinagar on Tuesday to mark the 69th foundation day of Aurobindo Sangha, the birth centenary of Rishi Aurobindo and the 77th Independence Day of India, with the slogan 'We can build a green world'.  Aurobindo Sangh premises. Mayor Deepak Majumdar, Corporator Alak Roy, Agartala Press Club President Jayant Bhattacharya and club officials were present.

A protest rally was held on behalf of the Youth Congress on the PRTC issue and a deputation was given to the Department of Work Investment. Note that PRTC has been made mandatory by the state government for various jobs in the state. It is seen that foreign youths are getting caught with fake PRTC while coming for interviews in various offices. As a result, today's march of the Youth Congress demands that the state government and the Department of Work Investment take a positive role in this regard.
