 The 185th birth anniversary of literature emperor Bankimchandra Chattopadhyay was celebrated by Tripura Government Information and Culture Department at Rabindra Centenary Bhavan. Mayor of Agartala Purnigam Deepak Majumder was present on that day.

  Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha inaugurated the historical and traditional Kharchi Puja in Agartala on June 26. CM Manik Saha performed traditional rituals in Chaturdasa Devata Temple. Kharchi Puja is one of the biggest festivals in the Northeast. This is the longest festival in North East which continues for 7 days. Lakhs of pilgrims visit Chaturdasa Devata Temple during this festival.
