The District Magistrate of West District, Debapriya Bardhan, has issued a notification announcing a traffic closure on the Badharghat-Siddhiashram road from October 1st to October 3rd at night.

The District Magistrate of West District, Debapriya Bardhan, has issued a notification announcing a traffic closure on the Badharghat-Siddhiashram road from October 1st to October 3rd at night. The purpose of this closure is to facilitate railway line construction work between Agartala and Bangladesh. The closure will be in effect from 11 pm to 5 am the following day during these three nights.

The construction project involves building an overbridge from Nishchintpur to Agartala railway station in the middle portion of the Badharghat-Siddhiashram road, which is a part of the Agartala-Vishalgarh road. The railway line will pass over this road, and during the next three nights, girders will be installed and the railway line will be connected. To ensure the work proceeds smoothly, access to the road has been restricted during these hours.

Four designated entry points have been established for the duration of the closure, which are located at Badharghat, TV Tower, Siddhiashram Crossing, and Amtali Bypass. These entry points will provide alternative routes for travelers during the specified closure period.

This initiative aims to accelerate the completion of the railway line construction project and minimize disruptions to the ongoing work. Travelers are advised to plan their routes accordingly and use the designated entry points during the closure hours.
