Major Police Operation Leads to Arrest and Seizure of Illegal Items in Tripura's West District
In a significant operation conducted on Wednesday night, Tripura Police made a noteworthy breakthrough by intercepting a suspicious vehicle in the Sidhai area under the West District of Tripura. The subsequent search of the vehicle yielded a startling discovery: a cache of illegal items was uncovered. Among the seized contraband were a pistol, nine rounds of live ammunition, and approximately 4 kilograms of cannabis, commonly known as ganja. The suspect, identified as Ranjan Debbarma, a resident of the Abhicharan area under Lefunga police station in the Sidhai area, was promptly taken into custody.
